Guitars have been with us since many years ago. Apart from the fact that they have gone through many phases of change, they still produce that soothing sound whenever those strings are plucked. The electric one converts vibration from its steel-cored strings into power currents which are then amplified and converted into acoustic or power sound. It is used by musicians to add effects and to equalize music as well as to shift the phases of the sound frequencies.
Rock and roll, country music, jazz, blues and contemporary classical music are some of the music genres that the electric guitar is being featured all over the world. It is one instrument that has gained absolute popularity with musicians as well as the listeners too. Most of the songs done in the twentieth century has this instrument featured among others.
These instruments are further classified into more categories. There are the electric ones that were designed by a combination of the efforts of mechanics and electronic specialists. Made of a solid body, they depend on electromagnetic waves and amplifiers to give a boom-boom sound. Examples of such instruments include fender stratocaster.
Another guitar that goes by the name of solid body has steel strings that are magnetic in themselves, and they pick up the magnetic waves in three field; back, middle and front. The arrangement of the strings is such that it produces harmonic high pitched streams. The harmonic content and pick-ups allows you to adjust the quality of the sound by picking the signal using the volume controls. The brass instrument has four strings marked E, A, D and G. They allow you to tune your instrument accordingly.
