Glass is all around us and we use it for varied reasons, but most commonly, we use it as a building material. Stained glass is acquired through the application of paint on the same and then passing it through a furnace. This requires great artistic styles and the purpose of the furnace is to make the colors permanent since they are meant to serve a decorative purpose. Most of them that are used in the religious sector serve both a practical and decorative function.
Stained glass is being produced the world over for use in other decorative items like lamp sheds, sun catchers, figurines and others. The secrets of this material are worth familiarizing with because they can serve a great function when it comes to the repair of old decorative items that have almost lost their aesthetic value. The value of these precious items keeps going up with each passing day.
