A person had to choose the level of complexity that he wanted to climb, depending on his level of expertise and experience. However, the grading differs from one country to another.

As the activity progressed in terms of popularity and addiction, more and more people wanted to try it out, both the young and the old. Climbing techniques were developed and equipment were developed to make it more safe and exciting. What began in the last quarter of the 19th century in the Victorian Alps has today become among the world’s top most hobby. All through history, rock climbing has become better and better.
